Stanley's family has been cursed for generations, bringing bad luck and failure. Through chance or fate, he ends up at Green Lake, where his family's destiny once changed. Throughout the story, Stanley learns he has the power to take control of his fate and break the curse.

Despite the harsh environment of Camp Green Lake, Stanley finds true friendship with Zero, a boy with a difficult past. Together they face the camp's dangers and fight for each other, showing that humanity and loyalty can triumph even in the toughest conditions.
